Enagás sees digitalising the company as a significant opportunity to optimise operations and maintain gas infrastructures. “In our view, the most significant trends in methodologies and technologies include advanced data analytics, predictive modelling, along with process automation and robotisation. Also, the emergence of new machine learning platforms (including AI), driven by increasing sensorisation and connectivity, will enable a substantial leap in optimising infrastructure management,” says César Corachán, Head of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence at the company.
For Enagás, data is a valuable asset and one of the main resources supporting the company’s core mission. “Digitalising the company helps us keep improving and enables us to manage assets backed by data. It also enhances our ability to predict and make effective decisions, by anticipating the failure of critical equipment, automating processes, detecting leaks, and creating virtual training environments,” says Corachán.
