The company promotes a respectful and inclusive environment where professionals feel they can be visible and express themselves freely.
To this end, it has organised its actions around six specific axes of diversity: cultural, gender, disability, generational, thought and LGTBIQ+, and works daily to ensure a healthy and innovative work environment where the uniqueness of each person is recognised and valued as an essential contribution to the value of the company.
The priority of Enagás is to promote an inclusive approach to create a cultural environment that identifies the company as a highly attractive place to work and to respond to the challenges posed by current socio-demographic, economic and cultural changes.
These challenges include globalisation, multiculturalism, gender and age differences, the assumption of responsibilities in terms of work-life balance and family co-responsibility, changes in prevailing social values and new technologies.
Enagás’ Diversity and Inclusion Policy sets out the company’s commitments and lines of action to ensure that diversity and inclusion management remains a key element of its global strategy.
“Being a fully diverse and inclusive company requires the commitment of everyone in the organisation. That is why we want each professional to be responsible for building and supporting an inclusive culture that allows the company to move forward in the different areas of action,” says Teresa Blanco, Diversity and Engagement Manager at Enagás.
Being a fully diverse and inclusive company requires the commitment of everyone in the organisation
Almost a hundred Enagás professionals have joined the People Allied for Diversity Network in recent months. In doing so, they are helping to raise the visibility of each axis and the importance of promoting diversity and inclusion in all areas of life, including the workplace. “The commitment of a diverse talent pool is the best way to meet the challenges of the future,” says the company.
Enagás aims to ensure equal treatment for women and men and to create an environment and conditions in which everyone can aspire to and achieve positions of responsibility.
The company aims to promote the full integration of people with disabilities in the workplace, ensuring that they have equal opportunities to participate in all aspects of life to the best of their abilities and wishes.
Enagás’ diversity also includes ensuring that the different generations live together, integrate, find common ground and contribute the best of themselves, while remaining true to their essence and forming high performing teams.
The company seeks to encourage the benefits of multiculturalism and differences in habits, language and thinking, so that they are not seen as a barrier, but as an opportunity to achieve goals and ensure a better service and employee experience.
Another objective of Enagás’ is to create a culture and professional environment in which the uniqueness of beliefs, education, skills, way of thinking and preferences contribute to innovation, sound decision-making and the commitment of its professionals.
The company is also committed to the visibility, integration and normalisation of LGTBIQ+ groups in the professional environment, improving their inclusion regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.
Enagás has held the Equality in the Company Distinction for gender equality since 2010 and the Bequal Seal since 2013, in recognition of its commitment to the social inclusion of people with disabilities. It has also been a member of the REDI Association since 2021, the first Spanish ecosystem dedicated to the inclusion of LGTBI diversity in the workplace.
