{"id":7299,"date":"2024-07-22T08:13:21","date_gmt":"2024-07-22T06:13:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goodnewenergy.enagas.es\/uncategorized\/enagas-igualdad-diversidad\/"},"modified":"2024-09-25T14:12:43","modified_gmt":"2024-09-25T12:12:43","slug":"enagas-equality-diversity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnewenergy.enagas.es\/en\/proactive\/enagas-equality-diversity\/","title":{"rendered":"Enag\u00e1s fosters equality through its diversity axes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The company promotes a <strong>respectful and inclusive environment<\/strong> where professionals feel they can be <strong>visible<\/strong> and <strong>express themselves freely<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, it has organised its actions around <strong>six<\/strong> specific <strong>axes<\/strong> of <strong>diversity: cultural, gender, disability, generational, thought and LGTBIQ+<\/strong>, and works daily to ensure a healthy and innovative work environment where the uniqueness of each person is recognised and valued as an essential contribution to the value of the company.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What are the pillars on which Enag\u00e1s promotes equality?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Inclusive approach<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The priority of Enag\u00e1s is to promote an inclusive approach to create a cultural environment that identifies the company as a <strong>highly attractive place to work<\/strong> and to respond to the challenges posed by current socio-demographic, economic and cultural changes.<\/p>\n<p>These challenges include globalisation, multiculturalism, gender and age differences, the assumption of responsibilities in terms of work-life balance and family co-responsibility, changes in prevailing social values and <a href=\"https:\/\/goodnewenergy.enagas.es\/en\/committed\/entrepreneurship-can-bring-approaches-to-new-technologies-in-a-very-speedy-and-cost-effective-way\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new technologies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enag\u00e1s\u2019 <\/strong><strong>Diversity and Inclusion Policy<\/strong> sets out the company\u2019s commitments and lines of action to ensure that <a href=\"https:\/\/goodnewenergy.enagas.es\/en\/committed\/diversity-helps-us-to-deal-efficiently-with-the-challenges-we-face\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diversity<\/a> and inclusion management remains a key element of its global strategy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing a fully <strong>diverse and inclusive<\/strong> company requires the <strong>commitment<\/strong> of everyone in the organisation. That is why we want each professional to be responsible for building and supporting an inclusive culture that allows the company to move forward in the different areas of action,\u201d says Teresa Blanco, Diversity and Engagement Manager at Enag\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Being a fully diverse and inclusive company requires the commitment of everyone in the organisation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Almost a <strong>hundred<\/strong> Enag\u00e1s <strong>professionals<\/strong> have joined the <strong>People Allied for Diversity Network <\/strong>in recent months. In doing so, they are helping to raise the visibility of each axis and the importance of promoting diversity and inclusion in all areas of life, including the workplace. \u201cThe commitment of a diverse talent pool is the best way to meet the challenges of the future,\u201d says the company.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Gender<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Enag\u00e1s aims to ensure <a href=\"https:\/\/goodnewenergy.enagas.es\/en\/committed\/equality-transition-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>equal<\/strong><\/a> treatment for <strong>women and men <\/strong>and to create an environment and conditions in which everyone can aspire to and achieve positions of responsibility.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Disability<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The company aims to promote the full integration of people with disabilities in the workplace, ensuring that they have <strong>equal opportunities to participate<\/strong> in all aspects of life to the best of their abilities and wishes.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Generational<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Enag\u00e1s\u2019 diversity also includes ensuring that the different generations live together, integrate, find common ground and <strong>contribute the best of themselves<\/strong>, while remaining true to their essence and forming high performing teams.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Cultural<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The company seeks to encourage the benefits of <a href=\"https:\/\/goodnewenergy.enagas.es\/en\/committed\/benefits-of-diversity-in-culture-and-thinking-in-the-energy-transition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>multiculturalism<\/strong><\/a> and differences in habits, language and thinking, so that they are not seen as a barrier, but as an opportunity to achieve goals and ensure a better service and employee experience.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Thoughts<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Another objective of Enag\u00e1s\u2019 is to create a culture and professional environment in which the uniqueness of beliefs, education, skills, way of thinking and preferences contribute to <strong>innovation<\/strong>, sound decision-making and the commitment of its professionals.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>LGTBIQ+<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The company is also committed to the visibility, integration and normalisation of LGTBIQ+ groups in the professional environment, improving their inclusion regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.<\/p>\n<p>Enag\u00e1s has held the <strong>Equality in the Company Distinction<\/strong> for gender equality since 2010 and the <strong>Bequal Seal<\/strong> since 2013, in recognition of its commitment to the social inclusion of people with disabilities.
